La Historia

From NYC to the O

Chopped cheese is an uptown sandwich. Not a cheesesteak, not a burger. Griddled beef chopped on the flattop with cheese folded through it, served on a hero from a bodega counter. It belongs to Dominican New York.

That is why the awning says Sherman Ave. The street is in Inwood, at the top of Manhattan, and putting it on a sign in Orlando is a claim about where the recipe comes from, not an address.

Ahora se come así en la O.
